Our Team
Christina is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Victoria, BC. She offers in person counselling appointments in Victoria and online therapy sessions for clients across British Columbia. She provides individual counselling to youth (13+) and adults of all ages.
Christina’s approach is client-centred and strength-based, providing a comfortable, non-judgmental space for growth and healing. She tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients, using evidence-based therapies.
Through talk therapy, skills practice, and engaging activities in session, Christina supports clients who are wanting to explore change in their lives and are seeking opportunities for personal growth. When working with Christina, you can expect to find an engaged therapist who is committed to offering support in ways that resonate for her clients.
Christina enjoys working with clients to improve self-esteem and body image, manage stress and heal from burnout, reduce anxiety and/or panic experiences, develop and/or refine healthy communication skills, explore personal growth and wellbeing, and address symptoms of depression. She has extensive experience supporting clients experiencing sleep difficulties and insomnia, and is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Christina also offers support with life transitions, including job changes and retirement, and grief and loss.
Christina has a special interest in sex therapy, supporting clients to improve sexual self-esteem, resolve sexual health concerns, and increase intimacy and pleasure. Rooted in her awareness of the limits of her training and experience in these specialized topics, Christina does not provide sex therapy specific to sexual trauma or gender identity exploration.
In her sessions with youth, Christina offers support with procrastination, school adjustment, sleep difficulties, future planning, peer and/or family connections, self-esteem and perfectionism, anxiety, and depression.
Based on the presenting challenges, strengths and desired outcomes of each of her clients, Christina draws from a variety of counselling modalities to provide a client-centered approach. The primary counselling approaches that she uses are cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, person centred therapy and Bowen Family Systems Theory.
Christina is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
