She approaches her work with curiosity and respect for how your experiences and identities have shaped your values, beliefs, and goals. This understanding forms the basis of your journey together.

When you work with Jenny, each session will focus on what you feel is most important for you. She provides counselling services to individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress and burnout, grief and loss, parenting, boundary setting, navigating life transitions, healthy relationship building, and self-empowerment work. Jenny has a passion for supporting clients who have experienced difficult pregnancies and/or birth trauma. She is also dedicated to working with women escaping family violence, providing them with a safe haven for healing.

In her work with couples, Jenny works to support partners to improve communication, enhance connection, and resolve conflict more effectively. She enjoys working with couples who are seeking to deepen their relationship, move through challenging experiences, and/or explore next steps in their relationship. Her training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy allowed Jenny to help couples build relationship enhancing skills that can continue to be used outside of counselling sessions.

Jenny offers ADHD-informed support to neurodivergent clients. Exploration of the impact of ADHD on day to day functioning and experiences, parenting, relationships and more allows Jenny to support her clients to develop skills and strategies to manage the impact ADHD has on their life. Her status as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider highlights her skills, training and experience in this area of practice.

Jenny’s practice is grounded in strengths-based and client-centered approaches. Drawing from multiple counselling modalities, including emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, somatic therapy, the Gottman Method, and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Jenny tailors your sessions to meet your unique needs.

With a diverse professional background, Jenny brings a unique blend of experiences to her counselling practice. She served as a paramedic with BC Ambulance, during which she developed strong skills in crisis management and effective communication. Additionally, she has substantial experience in the mental health and addiction field, where she gained valuable insights into the complexities of these issues.

Jenny’s academic journey has been marked by a commitment to understanding human behaviour and social systems. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria, which laid a solid foundation for her pursuit and completion of a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Her educational journey reflects her passion for offering the best possible care to her clients, blending academic knowledge with real-world experience.
