Known for her compassionate and grounded presence, Kandice fosters a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel understood and supported.

With her approachable, empathetic presence, Kandice offers tailored support that meets each client where they are, helping them cultivate clarity, confidence, and resilience.

Kandice holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and brings over a decade of experience as a Registered Dietitian, with a specialization as a Certified Diabetes Educator, to her work with clients. With her unique dual background in dietetics and counselling, and with a deep understanding of the intricate connection between physical and emotional well-being, Kandice offers a holistic, evidence-based approach to mental health and wellness.

Kandice enjoys working with individuals and couples facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, stress and burnout, self-esteem, disordered eating, perfectionism, chronic illness, and healthy relationship building.

She passionately supports clients in exploring their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves, recognizing that a complex interplay of emotional, social, and physical factors influences eating and self-care behaviours. Additionally, she is dedicated to helping clients navigate the psychological and emotional challenges of living with chronic conditions, drawing on her expertise as a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Central to Kandice’s practice is the belief that healing occurs through connection—both with ourselves and others. Her approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and person-centered, drawing from multiple therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

Currently, Kandice is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a student member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional growth, Kandice has pursued additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Neurobiology and is working towards certification as a binge eating and chronic dieting professional.

Our Counselling Student Intern program allows Gravitate Counselling Inc. to offer low-cost, affordable counselling to clients across Vancouver Island, the rest of BC, and Alberta. Kandice is supervised by Andee Dale, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Learn more about Andee on her profile page.
